Ivana Trump, the glamorous Czech American businesswoman, Socialite, and the first wife of former US President Donald Trump, who helped her husband (Donald Trump) build some of his signature buildings including Trump Tower, died on Thursday, 14 July at the age of 73.

Mr. Trump announced her death on Truth Social, his social media app. He wrote in the message that she was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.

Personal Life

Ivana Trump was born in 1949, in Gottwaldov, Czechoslovakia, she grew up in the city of Zlín. Her mother worked as a telephone operator and her father was an electrical engineer. She began skiing at the age of 4 and after developing skills as a skier she joined the junior national ski team. Being a part of the team offered her opportunities to travel beyond the boundaries of Zlín.

She attended college in Prague and married to Alfred Winklmayr in 1971, her platonic friend and an Austrian Ski instructor. After marriage, she secured an Austrian passport and moved to Canada. Their marriage dissolved in 1973.

In Canada, she settled in Montreal and worked as a ski instructor. She lived there for 2 years and joined a night course at McGill University to improve her English and she became a model promoting the Winter Olympics 1976.

Ivana met Donald Trump in 1976 in New York and they got married in 1977. the couple had 3 children together, and after 15 years of marriage, they got divorced in 1992.

Ivana has been described as a Career woman and charismatic workaholic. She took her business skills to develop her own fashion and beauty lines. She also invested in real estate both in Europe and The US and authored several books too.

Marriage to Donald Trump

Ivana met Donal Trump in New York in 1976 while she was on a work trip with a group of models. The couple married in 1977 and she became Donald Trump’s wife.

During the marriage, they had 3 children Donald Jr, Ivanka, and Eric.

The Trumps were a power couple In New York and were hot topics in the media in the 1980s and beyond, before their messy and public divorce.

During her marriage to Donald, Ivana held several major roles at the Trump family Businesses, working as a senior executive for 7 years, including serving as the former vice president of interior design for The Trump Organization. Her design and Construction work spanned Trump Tower with its signature pink marble. She was appointed as CEO and President of the Trump Castle Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City and later she also managed Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.

Death

Ivana Trump died on July 14 at her home in the New York City borough of Manhattan. She was found dead at the bottom of the staircase inside her apartment. Medical examiners will determine how Ivana Trump died. As of now, there is no sign of criminality found and the death appeared to be a natural death.
