Pokémon Legends: Arceus is an action role-playing game of 2022. Game Freak developed this game. Furthermore, it is published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch. It is the follow-up of the eighth generation of the Pokémon video game series. Moreover, it serves as a prequel to the 2006 Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Interestingly, it was first announced as part of the Pokémon 25th Anniversary event in February 2021. Following the year, it was released worldwide on January 28, 2022.
The game goes with the protagonist, who is sent back through time. In the event, the protagonist travels through the Hisui region. The Hisui region is on the island of Hokkaido. Additionally, It is an early Japanese colonization. It explores the region’s several open areas populated with Pokémon. The reason for exploration is to complete a roster of the region’s Pokémon, known as the Pokédex.
After the launch of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, it received favorable reviews. It became a commercial success by selling over 12 million copies.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is an action role-playing game in which players can roam freely across the game map. The game map divides into five giant areas of individual biomes. And each time players enter such giant biomes, they spawn in a camp. The player can fast travel to other camps in the same area. After traversing the landscape on foot, the player can unlock rideable Pokémon. The rideable Pokémon can travel faster, swim across bodies of water, climb cliffs, or fly. Pokémon wander the landscape and are found in different habitats. It will interact with both the player and their environments. Some would actively avoid the player, while others act aggressively. Likewise, some show other specific behaviors. Several “Alpha” Pokémon that are more powerful versions of the Pokémon can also be found in the areas.
Pokémon legends: Arceus Pokedex – Battling Wild Pokemon
Interestingly in these titles, the player character themselves can be attacked and harmed by wild Pokémon. And If enough damage happens, they will fall unconscious and reappear at the base camp. However, abstaining from battling, Players can capture wild Pokémon in the overworld. However, before being caught, few must be battled. Furthermore, the battles can be followed by releasing captured Pokémon near a wild Pokémon.
