Wimbledon 2022 is a grand slam tier tournament held at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London, United Kingdom. Eventually, the event became debatable from the day when Russian and Belarus players were banned from the tournament in the wake of the Russian-Ukraine War. However, the match was memorable, and like always, Novak Djokovic successfully claimed his 21st major title, defeating Nick Kyrgios in the final. In the ladies’ single title Elena Rybakina defeated Ons Jabeur in the final to win the title. Rafael Nadal was to complete the first three components of a Grand Slam but withdrew before his scheduled semi-final match against Kyrgios. The reasons were his torn abdominal muscle. Eventually, It was the first time a man withdrew from Wimbledon before a semi-final or final since Frank Shields in 1931.
For Kyrgios, Wimbledon 2022 became some of the first in his career. He became the first unseeded man to reach a major final since Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at the 2008 Australian Open. Furthermore, he is also the first Australian man to be in a major final since Lleyton Hewitt at the 2005 Australian Open. Additionally, he is the first unseeded Australian man to reach the Wimbledon final since Mark Philippoussis in 2003.

The French Open runner-up was seeded 11th at the All England Club. Anisimova seeded 20th and reached the fourth round in three straight Grand Slam tournaments.
“It was my first time playing on Centre Court,” Anisimova said. Further, she says that It’s the most special day of her career.
