Exciting, as I say, World Photography Day 2022. As we grew up seeing pictures, we eventually learned to click them and began to address the dynamics of creativity. Photography, as I say, is the memory of the lost status and brightening future. So, this day belongs to one of the most genius creations of art ever.

World Photography Day 2022

August 19, 2022, marks the World Photography Day celebration and captures memorable moments. From the essence of art to pieces of images makes us wonder about the beauty behind it. Not long back, when the camera became essential and built a market for digital media. From Instagram to Youtube, millions of pictures and video trends make it harder to choose one favorite. Notably, going back to the early 1830s when photography, as derived from the Greek photos (“light”) and graphein (“to draw”), began to be used.

Early Photography

Historically, the photographic journey begins with the discovery of critical principles: camera obscura image projection much before Aristotle’s time. However, it was only in 1826 that Nicéphore Niépce used a camera obscura fitted with a pewter plate to capture. Eventually, Niépce captures a beautiful courtyard view of Gras Estate from the upper window of his house. Following the years, the earliest surviving piece of early photography is View from the Window at Le Gras 1826 or 1827.

As time flies, the most precious journey of practical photography begins its discovery with the coming of the daguerreotype process. Moreover, the daguerreotype was introduced as fine capture quality by Louis Daguerre as a commercial photographic process. Following the detailing of Photography, Daguerreotyping became a flourishing industry. Practitioners like Hermann Biow and Carl Ferdinand Stelzner worked in Germany, and William Horn opened a studio in Bohemia in 1841.

Modern Age Photography

Following the age of 1950s, Austrian photojournalist Ernst Haas first used color in the photo essay New York for Life magazine. Photography began to diversify in the 1960s. Eventually, more realistic and approachable pictures came from Larry Clark and Nan Goldin, documenting alternative lifestyles involving drug addiction, transvestism, and casual sex. Additionally, Goldin’s use of color added a harsh sense of reality to photographs. Finally, the 1990s witnessed photography grasping town with the invention of video media. In the 1980s, the Digital Camera invention and 1990s, the first version of Adobe Photoshop changed the dynamic of photographs completely.

Introducing Smartphones

Of course, the smartphone’s invention did create a magical charm. Pictures began to be accessible, and the learning process began to enhance. Today, the day booms some of the captures from smartphones. Amature students of arts learn to capture images from the phone camera. By the time they start using new age digital photo cameras like 360 cameras, DSLRs, action cameras, and new and improved film cameras. The photography industry became even more diverse with the introduction of companies like Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, OM System, Fujifilm, Pentax, GoPro, Leica, Ricoh, Polaroid, and Hasselblad.
