What is College Football Playoff National Championship?

The College Football Playoff National Championship is a post-season college football bowl game and it is used to determine a national champion of the NCAA.

The game serves as the final of the College Football Playoff, which is a bracket tournament between the top 4 teams in the country as determined by a selection committee.

The participating teams in the College Football Playoff National Championship are basically determined by 2 semi-final games, which are organized by an annual rotation of bowls generally known as New Year’s Six. Thus, the teams to compete in the finals are not directly selected by a selection committee, as had been the format used for the BCS National Championship Game.

These matches are played at a neutral site, which is determined through bids by prospective host cities

The winner is awarded the College Football Playoff National Championship Trophy, which is sponsored by Dr Pepper

In addition to the above, College Football Playoff National Championship is not awarded by NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association ). Division, I Football Championship Subdivision is the Highest level of college football that NCCA gives and awards in the championship
