Tagging restaurant on Instagram took the life of a singer

PnB Rock, US rapper, has been shot dead in daylight at Los Angeles restaurant Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles,

As per the statement of the police department of Los Angeles, the musician had shared his location by tagging the restaurant on Instagram with a photo of his girlfriend, following which, a suspect went to the hotel and demanded jewelry of Rock before firing inside the hotel.

Police had found the musician with several gunshot wounds and when he was rushed to the nearby hospital and declared brought dead.   

However, no arrests have yet been made over shooting’s day.

His girlfriend narrates that whole incident to the reporter, “on that day when robber rushed to us in the hotel, there was some verbal exchange before PnB was shot multiples times and he fell on the floor.”  

After that, the suspect removed all the jewelry and fled from there, she added later.

There has been a flood of reactions to PnB rock death on various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. some famous celebrities and singers have paid tribute on their Instagram account, like Nicki Minaj who expressed condolence towards his family and pointed out the mistake of sharing their locations that took PnB rock life.

Ed Sheeran and Drake have also paid tribute to him.

Who is PnB Rock?

Rakim Hasheem Allen born on December 9, 1991, who is better known by the name PnB Rock, was an American rapper and singer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He rose to become famous for his single “Selfish”, which peaked at number 51 on the US Billboard Hot 100, as well as his feature on the song “Cross Me” by Ed Sheeran, alongside Chance the Rapper

He also released two studio albums, Catch These Vibes (2017) and TrapStar Turnt PopStar (2019), the latter of which peaked within the top five on the Billboard 200 chart.

Early life

Rakim Hasheem Allen was born on December 9, 1991, in a Muslim family in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

After three years of his birth, his father was murdered after which his mother took the responsibility of upbringing him. Till his teen years, he lived in Northeast Philadelphia and grew up listening to artists such as rapper 2Pac and R&B group Jodeci. 

But when he was at his 13, Allen was sent to a youth detention program for committing robberies and fighting in school.

When he attended the age of 19, he was sentenced to thirty-three months in prison for possession of drugs and other crimes. He was homeless for a short period after his release from prison. He never finished high school. Allen, later on, adopted the name PnB Rock, which paid homage to Baynton and Pastorius, a street corner near to him where he grew up in Germantown.
