A Hollywood actor Angelina Jolie filed a countersuit against Brad Pitt who is her ex-husband for an alleged physical attack on her and her children on a plane back in 2016.
Per the lawsuit, wherein Jolie went on to say that Brad Pitt had grabbed her by her head and attacked their two children on a plane trip in 2016.
In addition to this, Mr. Pitt poured alcohol on his family when they were on the plane, which was flying from France to Los Angeles, and abused them on the flight, she says.
However, he denied all those allegations.
After that, this news went out everywhere, leading to an investigation by the FBI in 2016 and authorities decided not to press charges.
Mr. Pitt’s abusive behavior as alleged by Jolie on the flight has also emerged in previous court papers.
What is the Bone of contention between Mr. Pitt and Mrs. Jolie?
As per the reports coming from various sources, it is stated that both couples had together bought a property some years ago and Mr. Pitt argues that they both ( Jolie and Pitt ) had agreed not to sell their stakes without permission of each other.
It is reported that Angelina Jolie had sold her stake in Provence winery Chateau Miraval, apart from this, this place is famous for award-winning wines and it is home to swimming pools, a helicopter pad, and a recording studio, and was the destination for Jolie and Pitt’s wedding back in 2014.
Owing to this, Brad Pitt is suing his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for selling her share of the French estate to the Stoli Group, a Luxembourg, manned by a Russian oligarch named Yuri Shefler.
Allegation of Angelina Jolie
As per her statement, Mr. Pitt pulled her into the bathroom at the back of the plane and grabbed her by the head, and shook he,r and shook her again before pushing her into the bathroom wall by grabbing her shoulders.
Moreover, she adds that he then punched the ceiling of the plane several times, compelling her to leave the bathroom.
In order to stop Mr. Pitt, Jolie grabbed him from behind but he resisted – according to the court papers.
However, Mr. Pitt threw himself back into the plane’s seats injuring her elbow and back.”
She even goes on to say that he poured the beer on her and after that, he poured the red wine and beer even on his children.
Pitt’s response
A source close to the actor told the BBC that Mrs. Jolie’s claims were false.
“she continues to reimagine her description of events and revises, rehashes, that occurred 6 years ago by putting on entirely untrue and unfair information, each time she fails to get what she wants.”
Mr. Pitt says he has sold the stake in the estate to a Russian Oligarch in an attempt to undermine his investment and cause financial loss to me.
He further argues that he had poured everything, from money to sweat and equity into the wine business, but her action jeopardizes his scope of the wine business.
